JPIC Co-Director (Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation)

The Sisters of Notre Dame (SND-USA) seek a mission-driven and collaborative JPIC Co-Director to advance our Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation initiatives. Rooted in the Gospel and guided by Catholic Social Teaching, this leadership role promotes education, direct service, advocacy, and relationship-building in alignment with the SND corporate stance commitments.

The JPIC Co-Director works closely with congregational leadership, ministries, partners, and volunteers to animate and expand justice initiatives locally and nationally.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and lead service, volunteer, and immersion experiences aligned with JPIC priorities

Create and deliver engaging educational resources, workshops, and presentations on social justice issues

Foster strong relationships with SND ministries, community organizations, advocacy networks, and national partners

Monitor emerging justice concerns and help guide SND corporate stance initiatives and responses

Coordinate and oversee volunteer engagement, including recruitment, formation, communication, and supervision

Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and prepare reports or updates as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; 3–5 years of relevant experience in social justice, ministry, nonprofit leadership, or related field

Demonstrated understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and commitment to the mission of the Sisters of Notre Dame

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse communities

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects independently

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with digital communication tools

Additional Requirements

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to do local travel approximately 25–30%

Experience supervising or coordinating volunteers preferred
