The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and Holy Name High School are pleased to accept applications for the position of Annual Fund Manager. Founded in 1914, Holy Name High School is a diocesan-sponsored, co-educational, comprehensive high school with a college preparatory emphasis and is committed to leading young adults to Christ by educating them in mind, body, and spirit. With a population of more than 650 students in grades nine through twelve, Holy Name High School provides young men and women with a nurturing and supportive educational environment in which to grow academically, spiritually, socially, and morally.
Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Annual Fund Manager shall be responsible for establishing, implementing and managing the annual fund giving for the school. The Manager will focus on building a year-round plan for a successful Annual Fund Campaign.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and grow the Holy Name Fund to support the school’s annual operating budget and institutional mission.
- Execute annual fundraising appeals including direct mail, email campaigns, social media integration, and printed materials.
- Coordinate strategies and campaigns around giving days, matching gifts, and peer-to-peer fundraising to encourage broad participation.
- Cultivate and solicit gifts from annual fund donors and prospects under the direction of the Director of Advancement.
- Create donor acknowledgement and recognition processes in collaboration with the Advancement team, ensuring timely and meaningful stewardship.
- Maintain a donor-centered approach while supporting broader major and planned giving strategies led by the Director of Advancement.
- Work closely with the Director of Advancement to ensure annual giving goals support broader advancement initiatives, including comprehensive campaigns and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with colleagues in communications and alumni relations to integrate Annual Fund messaging into all advancement materials.
- Contribute content for school publications and social media related to annual giving initiatives.
- Manage the annual student cash raffle and help coordinate other event-based fundraising efforts.
- Assist at advancement and donor recognition events as needed.
- Track and analyze Annual Fund performance regularly, generating reports and insights for the Advancement team.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records using Raiser’s Edge and assist with prospect research and moves management processes as directed.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly Advancement meetings.
- Represent Holy Name at school and community events as needed.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity of the teachings, traditions, and values of the Catholic Church, formation and Catholic Education. Enthusiasm to uphold those teachings, traditions, and values.
- Ability to strongly support the mission of Holy Name High School.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Three to five years of experience managing advancement activities or experience in donor relations or other applicable experience.
- Experience and proficiency in database analysis and report creation. Experience in Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills. Expertise and experience in social media and marketing events and opportunities for engagement.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities in different stages of progress toward meeting deadlines and toward successful initiatives.
- Ability to engage, lead, and motivate volunteers and donors toward repeated participation and outstanding volunteer experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Present a high level of professionalism, poise, sensitivity, and support in a variety of situations with a variety of stakeholders.
- The position requires VIRTUS certification and FBI/BCI background check.
